About the role

Join our team to help improve the quality and reliability of our applications currently in production-beta.

As a Software QA/QC Intern, you will be responsible for exploring our applications from a user's perspective, testing every feature and interaction, identifying unexpected behaviour, and documenting issues with clear reproduction steps and visual evidence.

You will work closely with the development team to ensure reported issues are actionable, fixes are verified, and applications meet our quality standards before further releases.

This is a hands-on opportunity to learn practical software testing, product quality assurance, bug tracking, and software development workflows.

What you'll do

  • Thoroughly test web and mobile applications, including every screen, button, link, form, dropdown, menu, filter, and interactive element.
  • Test complete user journeys, including registration, login, authentication, navigation, data entry, saving, editing, deletion, and logout.
  • Perform positive and negative testing using valid, invalid, empty, duplicate, unusually long, and boundary-value inputs.
  • Verify data persistence, validation messages, error handling, loading states, permissions, and consistency between related modules.
  • Explore applications independently to discover unexpected behaviour and edge cases beyond predefined test scenarios.
  • Report each distinct bug in Jira with a clear title, severity, priority, reproduction steps, expected result, actual result, and relevant screenshots or screen recordings.
  • Maintain daily testing checklists and document scenarios that passed, failed, were blocked, or remain untested.
  • Retest bugs after developers implement fixes and perform regression testing to ensure existing functionality continues to work.
  • Maintain organized testing records and provide daily progress reports, including features tested, bugs discovered, outstanding issues, and blockers.
  • Follow approved testing procedures when working with production-beta applications, test accounts, and test data.

What we're looking for

  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to finding problems.
  • Curiosity to explore applications and identify issues without relying exclusively on step-by-step instructions.
  • Ability to follow structured test scenarios and document observations accurately.
  • Clear written communication skills, especially when explaining technical issues and reproduction steps.
  • Basic understanding of web applications, mobile applications, browsers, forms, and common software functionality.
  • Willingness to learn Jira and software testing methodologies.
  • Ability to manage assigned daily tasks, meet deadlines, and communicate blockers proactively.
  • A responsible approach to handling test data and working with production-beta software.
